Appealing Two Rejections re 'The Joe Rogan Experience'

I'd like to appeal the following two rejections:

https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/update?load=180803-110613-218000
https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/update?load=180803-110428-270000

These two titles are currently listed as episodes of THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE, but they should be listed as TV specials. They are not part of the regular series.

All other nonstandard episodes like these were already made into TV specials directly by the staff. Please see:

Hi J. -

If I understand correctly, these two titles ("End of the World" and "Fight Breakdown: Mayweather vs. McGregor") aired separate from  "The Joe Rogan Experience" series?

If so, do you have an online links to help verify?

Here is a link to THE END OF THE WORLD:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3kdmOQlqfQ

The title under the video says "The Joe Rogan Experience," but the video is not numbered like the rest of the rest of the series, it doesn't have the usual title sequence, and the format is different.

Here is a link to FIGHT BREAKDOWN: MAYWEATHER VS. McGREGOR:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1xePSUC3I4

The title says "Joe Rogan Experience," and the video DOES have the usual title sequence. However, it is not numbered as part of the regular series, and the format is different.

I would recommend that both videos be treated as TV specials, and spin-offs from the regular series.

I am very confused, however. It seems that THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE still has many nonstandard videos listed as episodes. I thought they had been turned into TV specials when the show was re-numbered by the staff, but I was wrong. In any case, I can't find them when I look at the episode list. There should be a way to look at "Unknown Season," but there isn't. They simply don't appear:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6567314/episodes

I CAN find them in a search, though. Most of the nonstandard episodes have "Fight Companion" in the title. (See the screenshot below.)

I would recommend that these episodes be considered part of a spin-off series called "The Joe Rogan Experience: Fight Companion." Again, they are unnumbered and different in format from the main show.

Hi J.

So did these episodes actually air on television or just online? If so then they shouldn't be listed as TV specials but as videos.

Regards,
Will

Just online. I didn't realize that online videos couldn't be considered TV specials.

Incidentally, the whole business of labeling web series as TV series is confusing to me. I wish there were a separate category for web series. Otherwise, we have this situation where a web series can have a special spin-off video; and yet the web series is called a TV series, while the video is a video and not a TV special. Argh!

Too confusing. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

Hi J. -

Thanks for the additional details.  Since these videos were released under the branding of "The Joe Rogan Experience" (they are an extension of the series but separate), we would leave these titles listed as-is under the parent series title page under "Unknown" episodes.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

My only other question is: Why can't we see the unnumbered episodes of the show on the episode list?

It also looks like if you were to search the guest name it would come up in the regular search.

Episode numbers are always in the photo at the bottom as an overlay on the picture.

No, I wasn't asking where the numbers are. I was asking where the unnumbered EPISODES are. The unnumbered episodes will appear in searches, but they don't appear anywhere on the episode list.

For example, if you search for "Fight Companion" you'll find several episodes of the JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE in the results. But these same episodes, because they don't have episode numbers, do not appear on the episode list. See the image for examples. None of those episodes can be found on the episode list itself.

At the Bottom of the season one page is where it is hidden. You have to scroll through all 1158 episodes to "Get" to the bottom!

Thank you! Mystery solved. (But not the mystery of how I forgot about the Unknown Season link.)

Why it is not on the drop down box baffles me. You would think it "should" be there too!

Hi All -

There is a current display bug for this title preventing the "Unknown" from displaying with the season's in the drop-down menu, our technical staff are currently working on a fix.  I will let you know here once it's been resolved.  Cheers!
