Appalling. My politically incorrect review of Black Panther declined "Not enough evidence"

There is no reason my review should be declined. It raises a politically sensitive topic about race, but is in no way inappropriate (or "racist").
I'm appalled at the obvious misuse of editorial power by someone at imdb to suppress a movie review that is well-written, thought provoking, and chock-full of authoritative detail regarding the comic book origin of the Black Panther.
Appalling.

Hi Marcus -

Please recheck the guidelines here as reviews may be rejected if found to be in violation of our guidelines. If you are sure that the review was okay, please resubmit it and our editors will take another look (please note that reviews can take between 4 and 7 business days to be approved).

I had the same problem with my review of Lost in Space. I have gone through the guidelines I have supposedly violated. A direct link to the User Review Guidelines would have been better suited in the rejection response rather than a link to the general area of the site!

Let's see, here's what not to include in a review:
  • "Profanity, obscenities, or spiteful remarks." I certainly do not write crudely unless the situation calls for it, usually in response to a crude person. I pride myself in being polite and calm. This is reflected in any review or comment I write.
  • "Time-sensitive material (i.e. mentions of events, promotional tours, seminars, lectures, etc.)" This does not apply to anything in my review.
  • "Avoid unannounced spoilers!". Nothing in my review can be classed as a spoiler.
  • "Square brackets [ and ] are not allowed apart from when used to link names and titles." No square brackets were used in my review.
  • "Phone numbers, mail addresses, URLs, email addresses, links to Twitter or Facebook pages etc." I get it, no doxing! I do not dox!
  • "Availability, price, or ordering/shipping information." This does not apply to my review.
  • "Advertising, promotions or solicitations of any kind". Nope, I did not include any of those.
  • "Writing in ALL-CAPS! Writing sentences in all-uppercase characters is considered "SHOUTING" and must be avoided." I did not do that.
  • "Content in languages other than English" English is the only language I use. I am from England and pride myself in using better English than most.
  • "Do not include personal opinions on real life events or subject matter on which a film is based." I do not think I did this. Though read on...

The only thing I can think that made my review get rejected would be these 2 lines: "Why would the daughter a white couple be half black? It's not genetically possible no matter what the SJW's claim!". The last bit was meant for amusement though it is factually correct, not personal opinion, it is genetically impossible and the SJW's do make claims to the contrary. This is too generalized to count for "making an opinion on real life events". I can only surmise that my review was rejected on political grounds, not for going against the guides. This is censorship pure and simple.

A review is one person's opinion. It does not have to be factually correct though it should not attack any person or incite violence or hatred. Reviews are there for others to read to form opinions of their own. The more reviews there are, both positive and negative, the better; no matter what political stance the reviews take. Reject reviews if they are inciting violence or hatred, don't reject them because they do not meet your own personal political beliefs. IMDb alone does injustice to the titles by censoring honest reviews.

Maybe it was accepted by mistake. Your brief text contains at least one, probably two words which would likely be rejected as obscenity.

Well, we know what we're dealing with.  It's a fact of life. I don't have an answer. Same with FB. They want to censor Prager U videos!  It's unquestionably censorship from lefties who don't want any articulate conservative viewpoints to pollute their narrow minds.
I don't know if a link will get this comment deleted, but I'll try.

If you could copy and paste your reviews, I could help you.
I kinda know how the editors think.
I write reviews under another name than what I use here. I have never had one rejected.
Check this one out. I kept helping until

he finally got this result a little later.

You need to post the review, otherwise you are not asking for help, you are just venting, which is a waste of everyone's time here. Seeing the movie has nothing to do with ones inability to restrain ones self, which you have just proven. Since you need no help. I shall not reply further. Cheers DH

"As the title says, this is nothing more than a PC piece of SJW libtard crap. It DOES have a few instances of humor, but they are few and far between. Not worth anyone's time, and the only reason I bothered to finish the entire movie was because I was watching all Marvel movies in chronological order, if that is not your goal, don't bother.

Edit: I forgot to mention the casual yet blatant racism against white people, a direct quote from the movie "Another white boy we need to fix" and the innuendo that all of the problems faced by black people are the fault
of the white man"

My guess: Your review was rejected because of the line "a PC piece of SJW libtard crap". There are other ways of telling the world how you feel about this film without implicitly offending everybody who happens to like it.
(And a general tip: don't use abbreviations that not everybody might know.)

Oddly, the remark "Another white boy we need to fix" (made by the character Shuri) is itself actually politically incorrect. It's just that the term "political correctness" has become overly associated with the rhetoric of social justice proponents. Society is stuck in a situation right now, whereby people not apart of the "majority group" can make certain kinds of comedic remarks about the "majority group" (Christian, Caucasian, heterosexual, cisgender, masculine men) and basically get away with it, whereas the contrary is largely the case should a "majority" do so about "minorities". For clarification's sake, I should point out that "majority" and "minority" do not refer to the context of total population but only the population of things like legislatures, regulatory boards, city councils, police forces, judiciaries and even private organizations' boards of trustees (particularly businesses and universities). Furthermore, I did not make up the terms. This is the actual nomenclature of intersectionality theorists, who are largely conflated with the political left wing of the United States.
