Pretty cool to see what has been processed and what is still processing. This is a great improvement IMDb. I only hope this roles out soon for all contributions.

Another needed feature: a link to retrieve Saved contributions (that haven't been submitted yet).
I love the fact I can see/track my image contributions on the beta page.

Not sure how reliable this is, but when I tested it just now, searching this way seemed to trigger the loading of more at the end of the page, so it might be able to get you back through the oldest contributions too.

Which leads me to this feedback: triggering any link on this page should automatically open in a new tab.

I search daily for what is pending or declined and it really takes almost no effort. I will agree with you that clicking a link on this page should open a new page like the previous contributions page did.

In Chrome on Windows 10, when the page first loads, I find only 1 occurrence of "decl". I have to scroll down to load more of the page in order to see the next one, which is from only 2 months ago, 5Mar. It would be better if a filter were provided to look at only the contributions where something was declined. And/or this page needs a more compact view, so that more contributions load at once. (And yes, I was trying to look at all of them today, once I realized I finally could see a reason for each. I bookmarked several for follow-up.)
Just tried this page on my phone, and Chrome for Android apparently loads a lot more in the first shot; it found 17 "decl", back to 2018. But a phone is not the best way to look at this stuff, especially not when I have the display pumped up to the largest settings. It only gets worse when I rotate to landscape.

My main complain for the page is that it lists TV shows just by the episode title. I usually want to search by the series title.

As for the infinite scrolling, that invention would be my first target if I ever get my hands on a time machine. Call me old-fashioned, but I've yet to see any example of infinite scrolling anywhere on the web that I actually like. Give me good old paged navigation every time.

You said: "The previous page never gave us a good way to search for a contribution."
The page that is still linked to the contribution confirmation email has this for searching:

But it only shows the contribution itself, not the status.

A lot of my contributions this week are to images for episodes, and it seems that the series is displaying on each contrib. (Then again, some of the movies among them might be episodes that I don't recognize as such.) Maybe they include the series consistently with some types of contribs?

I DO like being able to see reasons for declined contribs, although many make no sense, especially those from several years ago.

https://contribute.imdb.com/contributions/history
seems to be listing all contributions, including Images. I like that a lot.
But I submitted something recently that is NOT showing on that page: a Title Correction.
When I use the url to see the individual contrib's details, I get this:

The change went through, so the contrib itself is not at issue.
But if this page is supposed to list all contribs, I wanted to report that it does not.

I've got a few suggestions for the beta contribution history page.
1) enable the user to be able to archive items on the list (this is similar to Walgreens does it's prescription history)
2) enable the user to have the ability to select what type of contributions that are being viewed. eg image, trivia, goofs, cast, etc
3) enable the ability to limit the list to those that have been declined, approved, pending
4) i do like the ability to be able to see everything but having done a cleanup job on a title I've not got several hundred recent entries that I'm not wanting to scroll past. being able to archive would resolve that, but also having the ability to select how many items are being viewed would help which would then divide it up into pages.
overall love the new page.

I'm glad to see that the Beta Contribution page has been updated to show the series title along with the episode title. This was one of my first suggestions to improve this page.
However, there is still a slight bug in displaying the series. See this picture:

Series titles have been appearing occasionally, but inconsistently since the page was very new, and I see that it was back in January that I reported the display bug with certain characters in the series titles.

Thank you for reporting this issue. We're aware of problems with series titles appearing inconsistently and certain characters displaying incorrectly and having this specific example will be useful for the team to use when investigating.
I'll update this page as we make progress on these and the other issues that have been brought to our attention.

Megan

Let's see if I can explain this clearly...
Take a TV series you've never made contributions for before, and edit an episode. The submission will show up on the Beta Contributions History page with the episode title only; no series title and no hint that it is actually an episode.
Now make a submission at series-level and reload the Beta page. This time, the submission for the episode will show the series title (with some characters/html-entities in the series title double-escaped and looking bad - this bug seems to be clearly related, you'll note from my old example that the series title displays properly on the series-level contribution).
Here's the curious part (and also the part I find tricky to explain clearly)... the series title will only show if a series-level contribution is also loaded in the same group as the episode submission. If the series-level contribution was already visible when you hit the bottom of the page and the episode-level contribution does not appear until that annoying infinite-scroll loads more, then the episode submission will not show the series title. Is that clear, or have I just confused everyone completely?
If I've got it right, it seems an odd way of doing it to me: omitting the series title from the data for the episode contribution itself and just hoping to pick it up from a nearby contribution which may or may not appear. But I have no idea how the back-end works so maybe this is actually the best way?

Well spotted! We are working on launching tracking for cast and crew completion.
Thank you for reporting this issue with the status being incorrect. I've told the team, and they're looking into it now. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Yes, you should see proper status updates for all new cast/crew completeness items you submit.
Please let us know if you experience any other problems with these contributions, and thanks again for bringing this issue to our attention.

Megan

This new history experience now displays tracking information for title corrections and merges.
Thank you for your support as we continue to iterate on this feature.

I'm running out of reasons to ever check the old history page again!

The heading for name merges does need improvement. It should reflect how contributors see the process not how staff may refer to the mechanism that implements it.

I'm also hoping that the department order on the beta page is considered a bug and will be corrected - mirroring the form order would be far more useful than the current jumble.
And, of course, there are still some other issues raised here that need to be addressed too, but it's definitely getting there. Does anyone know if the plan is for the old history page to eventually be removed completely, or will the old and new co-exist even when the beta page is 'finished'?
