I have tried to re-edit several times and never heard from IMDb.  I am Christopher Frederick (II) and my credit as Otto in Raiders of the Lost Ark has been given to another actor, Christopher Frederick (I).  Can this not be corrected?  How can I achieve this?

This correction has been refused so the wrong actor has the credit.  Can I appeal this?  I have come up against a blank wall.

I am credited with the video game but not the film.  This makes absolutely no sense.

I have already done this a few times and it has been turned down.  The wrong actor, with my name, still has my credit incorrectly but I have the video game credit.  This makes no sense.  I wish someone could take the trouble to look into this.

provide as much evidence as you can.
Do I gotta spell it out for you?
Screen grab of you in the production.
Call sheets.
Pay Stubs.
C-mon.
You really want the credit?
Try harder and quit pleading.....Oh woe is me.

This took place nearly 40 years ago.  Of course no call sheets or pay stubbs.  Nothing to do with woe is me.  Rude and ridiculous response from imdb after all the history here in which I have tried to be helpful.  IMDB is bizarre in giving me the video game credit and some New York actor the film credit.  We have the same name: Christopher Frederick.  Strange coincidence?

I may send you the screen grab.  It was filmed at Pinewood and they took small parts like mine from London not New York.

Imdb is in control here and can do what it pleases but it shouldn’t be rude or worse.

I will now leave this with you but surely you can ask the other wrongly credited actor if he took part in this film.

Please see w/site page: https://indianajones.fandom.com/wiki/Otto
and quote from this page:
Regarding the identity of the character of Otto in the film, Lucasfilm Story Group's Pablo Hidalgo writes:

"We found a call sheet with Christopher Frederick for one day only -- a day of shooting inside Marion's tent. Because all the other characters in the call sheet are identified, we figure he is either the Arab servant that sets up Belloq's dinner, or the German soldier that pushes Marion into the tent, but there's currently no way to identify him beyond that."

The website Aveleyman.com however reveals Christopher Frederick's appearance, in an episode of BBC Plays, Caught on a Train, as a German guard. Although the character of Otto is not clearly seen in the tent scene, Frederick's facial shape most closely resembles the German soldier rather than the Arab servant.[3]

This is all far from perfect.  I leave it with imdb to do as they see fit so long as they are not rude.

None of this here can help you.
Go here. https://help.imdb.com/contact
Submit all evidence as instructed.
Provide the last known contribution number.
And no. IMDb WILL NOT be checking with someone else to verify a credit of yours.
And lastly follow these directions given, or don't.
You have been given good advice yet you ignore it.
Do as asked please.

I have done as asked.  I have followed your advice as best as I possibly could and as I can demonstrate from what I have sent you.  I have said it is far from perfect and this is not least because it is 40 years ago so most "evidence" is no longer around.  As I have said - carry on as you see fit and credit the wrong actor but stop being aggressive and rude.  It is a bad look.  don't bother writing any more of your notes.

Do IT over and over. That way they will get that you mean business.
Just because you did it once or twice and gave up!!!!!!!!!
That will get you ZERO.

Christopher, as you can probably see, this thread won’t really help you anymore. Also remember that IMDb staff has ”Employee” next to the name, rest are just regular contributors. Some are actually helpful, so don’t lose your fate.

As staff said, don’t try just to ”delete” the credit from your name page. You need to go the title page of ”Raiders of the Lost Ark”, click ”Edit”, choose ”Cast” and ”Correct”, and then change the name ”Frederick, Christopher (I)” to ”Frederick, Christopher (II)” (the latter being your name). Don’t choose the option ”delete”, choose ”correct”.

But since I have to assume that you already tried that, it’s probably best to contact IMDb Help Desk, or wait if the IMDb staff answers again. I would advice not to post any sensitive/private info in this thread (public forum, and all).

Thank you so much.  I much appreciate everything you have said.  Re your employee point I thought I was dealing with imdb themselves! Really bizarre!
