I was able to add the show. I didn't think I had enough info but I thought I would see how far I could get. To my surprise, I was able to add the show and I didn't even have to add the producers (which made me happy because they were being unreasonable). It will be posted tomorrow and my client is thrilled.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. I know how to add shows. This case is different. My client is in a show that is currently playing on Amazon Prime Video. The Producer hasn't added the show to IMDb and he hasn't replied to my client. He has not replied to me, either. Is there a way to get the information from Amazon Prime Video to IMDb since they are owned by the same company? I can't do it because I don't have any of the information needed to add the show.

Even though IMDb is owned by Amazon, as far as I know, any credit information for both sites are submitted independently from one another.

The IMDb depends on contributors to add credit data, which may include the series' production crew or Amazon Prime viewers.

So how do I get the producer to do his job? All of these young comedians will not be getting their credits unless the show is added to IMDb.

Hi, nasty1mama.

I would not say that contributing a database is a film producer's "job", unless such obligation is included and signed in a contract. If the correct data or IMDbPro membership is not feasible for you by any reason, then your client or his/her colleagues may be interested to participate in this process (please see my further post explaining hereafter). And they are interested, as you explained earlier.

Hope this helps

Any contributor (including you) can add a new show having any but not "in-development" status. This is How do I contribute data to IMDb:

Pages on IMDb feature an "Edit Page" button near the bottom. To add information or to correct existing information, you just need to click the button and follow the instructions on the following pages...

For titles that are completed, released or in-production, please use the New Title Form.
IMDbPro members can submit in-development titles by using the New Title Form.
So, to add a show that is actually being in development, a contributor needs to pay for IMDbPro membership, and perhaps some kind of prove might be that he is involved in production.

For all other status-cases, there is no obstacles at all except the data must be correct. The initial form is simple to complete:
https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/newtitle

(the above example is fictional)

Following the basic rules for Title formats and Eligibility, you also find the
Important points to remember where:
When submitting the title, please complete as many of the sections as possible at each stage of the form and then press the 'Continue' button to move on to the next step. Please note that it is possible to submit your title without providing the details for certain sections of the form if they are unknown...
