ATS: Add character field to advanced title search

I was trying to help someone on the  'I Need to Know' board, and I realized that the advanced title search doesn't allow searching by character name.

The person had details such as a 1990s British movie, with a character named Jade.

Searching for feature films made in the UK from 1990 to 2000 returned some ~1300 titles, and it would have been helpful to be able to narrow it down by character.

Character information is in the database, and there is already a search by character, but that doesn't seem to allow multiple options either.  If I search characters for Jade, and then click on some of the search options on the right side such as Title>Movie, it switches from character search to title search.

I would like to see a character search available as part of the Advanced Title Search, or the ability to refine searches using Character Search (or similar searches.)   Search by character (named Jade,) refine by feature film, refine by year range or decade, refine by country of origin, etc.

I have always thought this was a great idea for exactly the reason that you state.  It would make identifying a film much easier.  Thanks for offering up an official suggestion!

Yes, I could find plenty of uses for this, even just searching for characters that don't appear in the main character search as they don't have pages.

I tried filtering out a title search by character and was shocked that it's currently not possible. This seriously needs to be added.
