Adding forgotten films

I am a film historian. I would like to add some titles of "forgotten" films. For example: I have data about several short documentary and fiction films that were made and screened in Belgium around 1940-1945. These were not feature films. No prints have survived. There was no international release. So a lot of the data you are required to fill in when entering a new title are just not available. But these films have existed. (I can produce evidence, like newspaper articles.) So how can I enter this information?

Near the top of the new title contribution form is a long explanation of what IMDb needs. In that section, they provide a checkbox for YOU to provide an explanation of why you cannot fill in enough required info. (The box opens up after you've also clicked the Check Updates button for the page.) Make sure you include links to the documentation you have supporting the film's existence, either in that explanation box, or in the Miscellaneous Links section.

Hi Roel -

In addition to the information bderoes provided above, you can find our Help guide on adding new titles to the site here: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/adding-a-new-title/GNXTSSVTJTFCRZGN?ref_=helpsrall#
