Actor with faked credits ... his credits were removed but the films are still fake?

Last year, there was a discussion here about an actor who appeared to have made up fake films that he supposedly starred in (although some of his other credits were legitimate). See

Supposedly this actor starred in such films as American Forces (1994) (V) and Keep This Secret (1995) (V) when he was 5 or 6 years old. But there was no real evidence that those films existed. Notably, none of the listed cast or crew on either of those titles has any other credits at all.

In particular, the Official Site and Miscellaneous Site for both films is described as "Official Teaser with the Whole Cast". But in both cases, it appears to be an episode of a Brazilian improv comedy show ( or These aren't teasers at all, and if they had anything to do with any movie, it couldn't be such English-language American movies as American Forces and Keep This Secret are supposed to be.

In fact, Gustavo Goulart had other fake movies in his filmography besides American Forces and Keep This Secret, but those are the only two that I happened to mention in the discussion last year. There may well be other fake movies that we would have more difficulty finding now since Gustavo is no longer listed as a cast member of those films.

That said, I checked the Internet Archive to look up an older version of Gustavo's name page ( I'm not going to investigate all these titles right now, but the following are also potentially films whose existence may be doubtful:
  • But I'm Right! (1996) (V)
  • The Real Deal (1996) (V)
  • Seems to Be (1997) (V)
  • Moon (1997) (V)
  • Money for Nothing (1998) (V)
  • Sacred Bodies (1998) (V)
  • Skin Deep (1998) (V)
  • Don't Push (1999) (V)
  • How to Get Rich in Africa (1999) (V)
  • Bank Robbers Club (2000) (V)
  • Next (2000) (V)
  • Mars? (2001) (V)
  • Chinese Mafia (2002) (V)
  • Outstanding, Great, Amazing, Perfect! (2003) (V)
  • Collective Unconscious (2004) (V)
  • Lie (2006) (V)
So I am requesting that the existence of these titles be investigated, and if they are fake, they should be removed from the database altogether.

This is Fake

This is listed as being in New Orleans and Filmed in Beverly Hills. Nothing identifies it as being filmed there. He just sits in his living room and never gets up from his couch.

Ed: The first film you mention, Vidas Em Paralelo, I don't know that it's fake. Like several of Gustavo's other films, its "official site" is listed as being an Official Teaser with the Whole Cast, but in this case, the video actually looks to be a teaser ( While I don't understand Portuguese to be able to understand what the actors are saying in the video, I did hear one of them mention the phrase "Vidas Em Paralelo" which is the title of the film. Not to mention that unlike American Forces and Keep This Secret, the language of the teaser (Portuguese) is actually the same as the language of the film being promoted.

As to Mardi Gras: Spring Break, I don't see any real problem with that title being listed in IMDb. Clearly it exists, since I just watched it on YouTube ( If there are errors in the data for the film, you can submit corrections, but I don't know what those errors would be. I don't know if the living room the film was made in was in Beverly Hills, California, USA or somewhere else. (The film doesn't claim to have been made in New Orleans.)

Mostly I'm concerned about the films that Gustavo supposedly made during his childhood (and from which he has since been removed on IMDb) which are likely to be fake. By contrast, many of the productions from his adult years, as listed on his name page now, can be confirmed as real productions.

Thanks gromit82, I've opened a ticket to investigate and remove any factually incorrect data.

Hi all,

Our data editors have reviewed the titles highlighted by Gromit82 and could not verify and so these have been removed. We believe the other titles to be accurate and so these will remain on the site.

Meredith: Thanks for taking care of most of these. However, the first two films that I mentioned, American Forces and Keep This Secret, should be removed as well, because they are fake for the same reasons as the other 16 films that I listed.
