As an IMDb user, I've noticed that with more and more movies as they get released, the initial reviews on IMDb are often written by what I suspect to be shill accounts. If I click their screen name to see what other movies they've reviewed, it is typically just the movie review I'm reading. In other words, they've reviewed no other movies. That's rather suspect. Not conclusive, but suspect. Readers need an easy way to help ferret out the fakes.
What's needed is a simple way for readers to see how many other reviews a reviewer has written, WITHOUT having click on their screen name and then navigating to a different page for each reviewer.
So I have a simple idea: Tabulate the number of reviews an IMDb reviewer has written, and then put that number in parenthesis next to their screen name link, so that your users don't have to open the every reviewers' profile to see how many reviews they've written. This would enable IMDb users to be a bit more discriminating about a reviewer's credibility.
For example, as an IMDb user. I've written a total of 11 reviews to date with the user name 'richsh', so if I were to write a new review, the info below my review's headline might look something like this:
(11 reviews) richsh 24 June 2019
Anyway, I believe the simple addition of that data next to a reviewers' screen name, will tell a story all on it's own and make it easier for IMDb users, to get a better feel for the reviewers.
I hope this idea help. Tell me what you think.
