Some people (apparently) get the choice between getting on-screen credits or getting more money

Found this list of actors with 400+ credits: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls033976330/, with multiple actors with 200+ uncredited parts, including:
Bess Flowers - 808 uncredited parts
Lester Dorr - 403 uncredited parts

Not on the list, there's also Mel Blanc with 575 uncredited parts, mostly as a voice actor though.

Thank you Steve Crook & cartman_1337

So, how does someone get listed here if "uncredited"
Contributors use Facial recognition for identification ?

Why does IMDb Not count episodes in the credit total ?

http://www.imdb.com/pressroom/stats/

IMDb Statistics

Titles: 4,734,693
People: 8,702,001 (Credits: 91,169,747) : 10.5 credits per Person ??

This data is (temporarily) in the press room
until we can rebuild the page on the new technology, sorry.
It will be updated somewhere between monthly and quarterly in the meantime.

People are (uncredited) when they don't get an on-screen credit (either in the credit roll or identified by voice or caption). When they only have (uncredited) listings then they don't appear in the IMDb but you can still submit them. When they get a credited role then that and any (uncredited) roles are all listed & counted.

Yes, they can be identified by facial recognition. When someone trustworthy recognises them  :)

ACT1: As you implied in your first post in this thread, where a count of credits appears in a person's filmography, each TV series is only counted once regardless of how many episodes the person appeared in of that series.

So, for example, Katherine Kelly Lang has actress credits in 13 theatrical films, 2 TV movies, and 16 TV series -- that's "31 credits". The fact that in one of those TV series, she has 4,315 episodes to list, doesn't factor into it.

(On the other hand, it does factor into the order in which her jobs are listed in her filmography. If she decided to become a director and wanted to have her directing credits listed first in IMDb, she would need to get something like 4,350 directing credits to list before her directing credits would be listed before her actress credits.)

well... it just seems sort of silly
for IMDb to keep Stats of Credits that are not correct
Should count every time an actor etc in on the big or little screen

ItsNot My list

Perry Mason  (1957–1966)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050051/trivia
Due to illness, Ray Collins
only appeared in a few episodes after the 1960 season.
Collins had contracted emphysema brought on by years of smoking,
and he also was beginning to forget his lines
and it was because of this he was forced to leave
in the middle of the seventh season.
Despite the fact that Collins was no longer on the show,
it was decided to keep Collins' name in the credits
not only to help keep his spirits up,
but to allow him to keep getting medical benefits from the actors union.
Sadly, Collins died in July 1965
just prior to the start of the show's final season.

Perry Mason (TV Series)
The Case of the Missing Button  (1964)

Ray Collins   ...  Lt. Tragg (creditOnly)
Mon, Jan 29 9:00 AM - The Case of the Missing Button (S8, Ep1)

Maybe a Staffer can read all this thread...

and explain what is counted and not counted in Stats of Credits

OR someone (me?) can  start a new thread just on that subject as this one is rather confusing

Not fully sure what’s the main point in this thread, but in the older movies and TV series the credits were often shorter. Many people were left out from the credits.

And the film doesn’t have to be that ”old”:
