The Bicycle Thief  is missing from Vittorio de Sica's Filmography.  It appear in a graphic under "Known For," and on the side with Amazon notification.  How it escaped the actual filmography, however, is anyone's guess, and should be rectified!

Karen: The Bicycle Thief  (Ladri di biciclette) isn't missing from Vittorio De Sica's filmography. The first section under his filmography is his Actor credits, because he had more credits as an actor than in any other department. He wasn't an actor in The Bicycle Thief, though, so it doesn't appear in that section.

You have to click on "Director" to find the films he directed, and Ladri di biciclette is indeed there as it should be. (It's also in the "Writer" and "Producer" sections of his filmography.)

Oh...um...duh.   I really didn't notice that I was looking under acting credits.  And I'm a long time member!  Thanks for the "reality check."  I'll look more carefully next time! :)

(Either that or, e.g., "Bicycle Thieves"  for those of us who have
United States titles selected in our site preferences.)

Note to the OP:
As you may already know, you can click "Show all" (located to the right of the
Filmography heading on any Name page) to open all of the credit sections.

(I wish there were a Site Preferences option to "show all" credits by default.)

Yes, I see it now...good tip.  BTW, I've always known the film as The Bicycle Thief, and IMO the plural doesn't make sense.  Saw it for the first time in the '70s, and was very moved, even to tears.

In the AKAs section of the title's Release Info page, "Bicycle Thieves"
is listed as the "USA", "UK", "Australia", and "World-wide (English title)".
"The Bicycle Thief"  is listed as a "USA (poster title)".
"The Bicycle Thieves"  is listed as a "UK (poster title)".
