Strip Multipad Must Save User Kit Samples, Now It Does Not

Strike Multipad does not save the associated samples for a user kit, only user the kit parameters. One must be able save user kits and especially the samples for that kit to a USB stick so that they can request a Strike Multipad on a rider and be able to load their kits within five minutes at sound check. Also, back up their entire kit for traveling. Right now if something happens you gotta start at square one.

Hello, Tracy

Thanks for posting!

I agree, having the samples populate to the originally assigned pads would be a great feature. For the time being, I would take note of your preferred samples for your kits or even a picture of the Perform window since it displays the samples assigned to each pad :)

I have logged this in as a feature request, per my previous replies please follow our social media pages for updates and announcements for feature updates!

Hope this helps!

Hi Criss, I have two Strikes: one for the studio and one for playing live. I wanted to be able to duplicate the one I set up for the studio to the one I use live. I finally just went in and recreated the sounds in the one that I use for live. The kit parameters are great, but having to recreate the samples took some time. I loaded in samples or tuned the pitch of samples, so they pretty much all ended up being user samples in my user kits.

Also in that regard, it would be awesome if you could submit a request to be able to backup/restore a single user kit. In my case I've now created some different kits on each of my Strikes, but it would be able nice to be able to transfer a singe kit and its samples from one to the other or vice versa.

Yes, I agree with both Criss and Tracy. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED! Not being able to back up SINGLE USER KITS is a massive issue and headache for live performing musicians. I need the ability to save Single User Kits, with their Parameters, and Samples saved when backed up. This allows to save separate folders for different artists and easily load up when is needed and reset always for new sessions. This should be essential in the next update. Saving parameters, user samples, and single kits is highly needed. Unless I am missing a way to do so now??? Ive tried so many ways, doesn't seem possible in v1.2. Also, when factory resetting ive discovered user samples don't get erased, we must manually erase. It would be highly helpful to be able to select multiple samples at once to delete them quickly when needed. If the samples backup with he single user kits, a clean factory reset would be no issue then. PLEASE do this in the next update. Its literally the only thing thats needed to make this machine perfect! Loving it so much. Just need to make the switch from show to show easier. I work with a lot of artists. The software editor would solve this issue also for programming and drag and drop. Its a very slow process without the editor available. Which makes it even harder when we can't backup single user kits. Please note this ALESIS. Thank you!

Hello, Tracy

Absolutely! I agree that would be a great feature so you don't have to use a specific instance of the SMP every time you want to play a specific kit. If there is an update that includes some of the features, they will be announced on our social media pages and here on the forum.

Thank for your using Alesis products!
