Not Happy with the DM Dock and Pro-X Hi Hat

Guys, I bought the DM Dock in January 2015 and have been waiting patiently for a solid DM Touch App update to rectify all of the issues with the hardware/software. Sadly the latest update that's in the itunes app store is May 29, 2014. I also purchased the Pro-X hi Hat controller since it was touted as being compatible with the DM Dock. The open/close hi - hat events never triggered. I've wasted money on both items. I will never be buying alesis products again!

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for posting.

I apologize for your experience. I'll be sure to submit an update for the DM Touch App as a feature request. What issues are you experiencing that you'd like to see rectified, specifically?

The Pro X Hi-Hat will only work with the DM8 and DM10 modules after the firmware update has been performed. This firmware update is necessary to provide calibration for the Pro X Hi-Hat to respond fully. However, users have reported success using the Alesis Pro X Hi-Hat with other popular drum modules.

The sounds invariably distort right off the bat or after a little use. There is also no way to load custom drum sounds. The app seems to be triggering a lot of midi notes most likely with low velocity so it doesn't register, but the graphics are lighting up so it seems there are hits.

According to this review, the pro-x hi hat is compatible with the DM Dock: http://www.drummagazine.com/gear/post.... I thought I read it on the specs for the hi hat on the alesis site as well before I purchased it, but I don't see it now. Perhaps that was false advertising and the spec was changed when it was determined that the DM Dock doesn't really support it.

Bought a DMTouch one Dmpad Pad Pro X Hi-Hat Cymbal and one DMPad 14 "3-Zone Ride, I have this same problem.
I have customized my kit, as described on page DMDOCK (http://www.alesis.com/products/view/d....)

The answer was the same, no solution or attention from Alesis

yeah, the customer support is horrible. I don't think I'll be buying anything else with the Alesis name on it!
