hi one of my alesis m1 active mk2 speakers has started making a noise from the woofer when switched on with nothing else connected to it other than power lead. It sounds like a radio when no station is there. ive tried moving it to a different socket and different power lead and taking it apart blowing the dust off the board, plugged the tweeter wire into the woofer port on the board and the noise comes out of the tweeter instead. anyone know if its fixable?

Hi Robbie,

Thanks for posting.

It sounds like your product may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

• Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Alesis Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.

or

• For quicker support, call your nearest Alesis Support Page or International Distributor.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks for the reply but the speakers are about 9 years old i have no sales receipt even if i did they wont still be under warrenty so for the price i will have to pay for 'servicing' i might aswell buy new speakers. I was hoping to fix them myself i am quite capable i just need to know what needs doing
