Hey! I will be getting a used Alesis Trigger IO to expand my DM6 kit a little and give me some more capabilites. However, I was wondering if I can later on buy a used DM6 Nitro Module and plug my pads into that then connect the Alesis Trigger IO into it through MIDI and have alot more space for more pads? Does the Nitro module work with the old DM6 USB Kit?

And I just got this idea but I have no idea if it would work and I doubt it would but I may just ask, could I just connect the Alesis Trigger IO to the old DM6 module that doesn't have any MIDI input or output through USB by using a MIDI to USB adapter? MIDI end of the cable into the MIDI out of the Trigger IO and the USB end of the cable into the module. I guess it wouldn't work though.

Hello,

Thanks for posting.

Yes, you should be able to use both modules in tandem without an issue. However, keep in mind that the pads for each kit are designed to respond with their respective modules, so this would not be officially supported.
