Is left handed setup on the new Forge Kit possible?

I have been researching different company's electric drum kits trying to find one that I will be able to set up in true left-handed setup with the hi-hat and module on my right. I have seen others where they say you can just change the sounds of the pads but I would image that then you lose the hi-hat's open and close capabilities. I am very interested in the new Forge kit, what I'd get at that price, multiple tone zones all around, it's looking great and I will buy if I can just straighten this one thing out.

I found a manual online, I'm not sure if this is the one that the Forge comes with but it says it has a "lefty mode" that when activated (On), the pads connected to the drum module are reversed to accommodate left-handed playing.

So my question is, if I switched that on, moved the module and the hi-hat to my right so it mirrors my acoustic kit's setup, would that work?

Bill R. I bought a Command X Mesh kit and it has "lefty" mode on the command module, but when i enable lefty mode, it does nothing?

How do I setup lefty mode to work?? is there some firmware update?
