Increasing pitch wheel range on QS7 won't cancel default sound

My QS7 pitch bend wheel gives +/- 2 semitones as designed. When I increase the semitone range, it plays the increased range, but at the same time it plays the default +/- 2 semitones, the two sounds mixed together. How do I eliminate the default sound when setting at increased range? Thank you.

Hello,

Thanks for posting! While the QS7 is a long discontinued product, I'll do the best I can to help!

Let's have you try performing a reinitialization. To do this, power on while holding [0] and [3]. Memory remains intact in the User Bank. The Preset Bank is unaffected, as it is permanently stored in the keyboard's ROM (Read Only Memory).

Bill, thank you for your reply to my question. Reinitializing did not change the problem, but I did discover that the Strings in Program 50 can be programmed with an increased pitch wheel range without also sounding the default range. I want to edit the pitch wheel response in Program 80 Square Lead, but still hear the default range mixed in with the reprogrammed range. I wonder if Square Lead has a mix of two sounds and only one sound is being affected by the user editing.

Hello,

Please refer to the manual found under Docs & Downloads, where chapter 6 (page 48) will discuss how to edit programs: QS 7 Reference Manual
