New nitro kit just assembled, works great. Can't make rim shot by hitting rim of snare. Don't know how to set and save as rim shot. is snare pad a 2 trigger pad?

Hello,

Thanks for posting! I'll be happy to help!

Yes, the snare pad is dual-zone. Double-check your Pad rim sensitivity is set appropriately within your Utility settings.

To adjust the Utility settings:
  1. Hit the pad whose settings you want to adjust, or press its corresponding Pad Select button.
  2. Press Utility, then press Page/Select until the desired setting appears in the display In this case, your Pad Rim sensitivity will be representing by "R-S". This setting controls how responsive a pad's rim is when you hit it.
  3. Use the < and > buttons to adjust the value.
Don't forget to save!

Let me know how it goes!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Snare drum making rimshot only.

Snare drum only produces a rimshot. I tapped the foam pads and they make a snare noise after removing the mesh. However adding back the mesh I hear only rim shot when striking the snare
