Help maintaining my Fusion 8HD

Hey there Alesis,

I'm an electrical engineer and I would really like to keep my awesome Fusion 8HD running well into the future. I wish somebody made a muti-synth beast like this now. In order to do this, the service manual and schematics would be invaluable. I've read of others requesting the service manual and getting a copy from Alesis. I would greatly appreciate it if I could get a copy as well. That way I can check things like power supply ripple and display voltages and know what to expect.

Thanks much,

Scott

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the post.  Service manuals and schematics are not available to the public.  Only authorized Alesis repair facilities and service centers would be able to obtain this type of information.  If you need information on where to service your product, please reach out to our technical support team by logging onto http://www.alesis.com/support.

Bill,

That's unfortunate. Many companies like Yamaha realize that this is an important service for users who wish to keep aging equipment operational. It may cost a few bucks but they will get you a service manual.

Alesis no longer carries many of the parts including critical stuff like the power supply which is known to fail in the Fusion.

Providing such materials is also a great way to improve the customer experience and brand loyalty as well. Alesis should really rethink this policy especially for products of this age.

Thanks anyhow,

Scott
