Double bass with DM Lite

I have seen questions about possibility of Alesis DM Lite double bass setup

I bought an additional kick pedal
https://www.gak.co.uk/en/alesis-kick-...

and a 3.5 stereo female splitter
https://www.amazon.co.uk/TODEAL-3-5mm...

Connect "kick" cable with splitter and each male end with a separate kick pedal - works just fine, and I still have fully working hi-hat

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Alesis dm lite trigger compatability.

Alesis DM LITE trigger compatibility. I have a DM lite kit but want to be able to double pedal, what kick triggers are compatible with a DM lite? Also what drum modules can you get for expansion?

Hi, I tried this but could only get 1 of the pedals working at a time. Is there anything else I need to check? I got an extra bass drum pedal and a stereo splitter cable.

Do you mean one pedal is working and the other is not? What happens if you swap pedals?

Although its a stereo jack I'm not convinced its uses both signal connections, as far as I can tell the tip of the jack is doing all the work, so thats the connection that needs split between the pedals (I think?).

I think you are right and the solution would work with mono connectors, the only reason I bought stereo splitter was its availability.

Has anyone been able to confirm this works? About to order the parts if it does.

I found the best way is buy an extrap tom pad attach it to the bottom bar as a kick pad then use a double bass pedal like a normal one. I found this as the cheap plastic base to the kick pedal broke quite quickly for me :(
