Hi, I am thinking of upgrading the bass drum on my crimson 2 mesh kit, as the current one is too unstable. I have played the strike one and it feels much sturdier. Is the strike bass drum compatible with with the crimson 2 module?

To that accord, are bass drums from other manufacturers compatible with my crimson module, for example the Yamaha KP100 Dtx or Roland KD120?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for posting. The Strike's bass drum is intended and officially supported for use with the Strike Pro Module; however, you should be able to use it with the Crimson II module without a problem.

Hi Bill, thanks for your reply.

Do alesis have a service whereby I can purchase the strike bass drum directly? That way, if it turns out for whatever reason that it is not compatible with the crimson module, would I be able to return it, given your advice that it should work?

Do you also have any suggestions as to the crimson module compatibility with pads from other manufacturers?

Thanks for the help,

Ben.

You would need to get in touch with your local service center directly to see if they have any spare parts that can be purchased from them.
