Difference between DM5 with logo on top and no logo

I have one without the Alesis logo on top. I saw another thread on here where someone said the newer one has the Alesis logo on top. Other than maybe age, was there anything changed in the DM5 over time?

I heard from one person I was talking too that the branded version is the orginal and the unbranded one is a later model.. however in this forum I also found someone saying that they have the newer model (with the logo stamped on it)

Just curious to understand if there is any audible / technical difference.

Check firmware version .
The newer module probably shipped with the update already installed.
I believe the last firmware release was v1.02

< and > simultaneously.
The DM5 will momentarily indicate the current software version installed in the top line of the display.

Ok so I guess I don't have 1.02 on my system because when I turn it on it shows no version.. it just says something like DM5.. then boom right into the current kit it's on.
