I setup the drum module for lefty mode, but everything still stays in right hand mode? i.e. the snare still stays the snare...

should i upload a different firmware or something ?

Anybody??

I have filed a customer support ticket last week and its been crickets...

Are these forums monitored by Alesis support and/or how responsive is customer support typically?

i.e. should I be waiting a week for a support person to respond to a ticket or these forums?

OK - I figured it out myself..

Seems like the "lefty" mode actually has nothing to do with switching inputs.

You MUST physically setup the module, the rack, the cables and all the pads as "left handed" setup to be able to play left handed.

the ONLY thing the "lefty" mode in the module does is flip the OUTPUT channels! So for example, when you have a left handed setup and you hit the high-hat thats now positioned physically on the right, the the sound also plays on the right over headphones.

If you dont do this and you have a physically left hand setup, then the sound will play in the opposite side of the headphones of where you are hitting..

Really a big bummer that Alesis doesn't have a flip-inputs or at least re-assign inputs option on command..

but the BIGGER bummer is that it took me a week to figure this out by myself with ZERO response on my support tickets or this forum over a week..

This total disregard for and lack of customer service makes me regret the almost thousand bucks I spent on this drum set and will FOR SURE make me think twice when upgrading in future..
