Transferring files from MPC Live to Mac

I'm attempting to view and move projects stored on my MPC Live to my Mac Pro. I can enter controller mode (most of the time) so to me that means the MPC and computer are talking to each other. It's my understanding that when my computer is not controlling the MPC Live I should be able to view the contents of the MPC Live's internal storage on the computer. However, nothing pops up to enable me to do so... I've read Akai's tutorial repeatedly so I'm fairly certain I'm doing everything right. I'm running the latest firmware and MPC Live software version. The MPC Live hardware is connected to an Anker hub USB to my Mac's USB-C. Appreciate any help given.

You can not see the internal storage. You will need to install an SD card, USB Drive or a 2.5 Drive to see them in computer mode.

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for posting!

As GW1 explained, the Live's internal drive will not mount on your computer when in controller mode. If you want to export Projects to your computer, they will have to first be moved to an external storage device (SD, SSD, USB flashdrive, etc.) connected to the Live.

To save the Projects to an external device, open each Project and tap the folder icon at the top of the Main view. Select Save As and choose your external storage device as the location.

Now, when you connect the Live in controller mode, the external drive will mount to your computer and content can be quickly copied and moved.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Thanks for your help, GW1!
