How can I change the tune of two different pads with different tunes but with the same sample loaded on mpc live stand alone mode? Before I got my mpc live I had the mpc 500 and it was as simple as going to sample tune on program menu and tuning the sample assigned to a pad, but can't find the way of doing it on mpc live. I will be thankful for the help you can provide.

Hey Rafael,

Thanks for posting!

In order to make changes to one sample without affecting the other, you would need to save a duplicate to the Sample Pool and rename it. For instance, if your original sample was named Low Tom, copy the sample to your Sample Pool and rename the second instance as Low Tom 2.

The other option would be to use 16 Level. This would allow you to repitch the sample across 16 pads.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks a lot for answering. Can I save a duplicate of a sample to the sample pool in stand alone mode? I am used to work on old mpc devices and not relating my workflow to any software and I wanna keep it on the old school way, Is it possible on mpc live?

Hey Rafael,

You can save a sample first to the internal or external drive first and then load it into the sample pool. To do this, press the sample you want to duplicate. Tap the pencil icon to the right of Drum Program and select Save Current Sample. Select the drive location you want to save to and make an edit to the sample name.

Open the Browser, locate your newly saved sample copy and load it into the Sample Pool.

Let me know if you have any questions!
