MIDI Syncing to MPC Software or even The MPC Live Hardware?

How do you get the MPC Live or MPC Software to sync with external hardware/MIDI Devices running MIDI over USB??

I've been trying for short while to get the settings on an Elektron:Samples Machine to sync up with the settings in the MPC 2.0 Software. Without any luck. Usually it's pretty straight forward but I know from the past I can always run into a glitch or over look a setting parameter which needs to be set to a specific setting value.

So, to make it easy... How Can I make a MIDI over USB Hardware sync to MPC Software? Let me know if you need additional information. I can always nab some screenshots of my current setting in the software. (BTW - I'm running MPC Software as a standalone item connected to my MPC Live and then trying to pair it up with a track in the software to automatically kick the Elektron Model:Samples into Gear!).

Gotta use the chubby cord hole I think. I think the usb slots are input. The chubby fat, is two way

I was hoping midi over usb would be able to handle it but... hey... It's worth a try.

Try one at a time. Komplete allows multiple controllers, I don't know about 2.6

I've had smiles and frowns controlling my Live with Zeta, with usb. Imight have my Zeta running on some weird time signature, but the mpc dont like it, it sounds like stutters trash. haven't yet changed direction, but I think the mpc is going to be better at the task commanding slaves.

I'm actually embarrassed for TE, bless their little hearts!
I guess they implemented their stuff to work with pocket operators.

Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with that. To send MIDI information from the Live to your Model:Samples, connect a 5-Pin MIDI cable from the Live's MIDI A Out port to the MIDI In port of the Elektron. The USB A terminals on the back of the Live are for receiving MIDI only, as Al Yeska mentioned.

You'll need to enable the Model:Samples to receive External Clock. Set the Live as the sync Master by opening Sync Preferences and selecting MIDI Clock under Send. Enable MMC to send transport controls to your external gear.

In Main view, create a MIDI Program. This is the only Program that can send MIDI out to external devices. Select Port A and the MIDI Channel your Model:Samples receives on.
