Is there an API that could be used to develop 3rd party synths, effects, or other plugins for the MPC standalone?

Given the power and capabilities of the MPC Live, I'd love to have a bit more synthesizers and effects available. If I could develop them, that would be fine, too! Is there some way that I could develop against an API and create 3rd party plugins for the standalone MPC Live software? Thanks much!

Hey Keith,

Thanks for posting!

The team doesn't have any public development plans like this. You can definitely make a request through the feedback portal. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!

If you need an alternative method of submitting feedback, you may use the following link:

MPC - Submit a Feature Request

Thanks for your feedback!
