External KNOBS & FADERS for MPC LIVE

When will MPC Live gain the much needed capability to be controlled through external midi CC gear in Standalone Mode ?

Many of us are desperately waiting for this. I'm about to sell my unit if the feature does not drop soon.

Midi learn would be great, but just just opeining up the architecture to midi cc and giving us a parameter list would work too. This should be a snap to do. WHy has it not yet been added to the feature list?

Please give us an ETA.

Hey Alexander,

Thanks for posting!

While I do not receive information about updates before they are released, I am always happy to help spread information around the community. That being said, I have not yet received any new information about this function. As you know, announcements about updates and new releases will not be published here on the community forum. If you are interested in hearing about new information from the company as soon as it's released, here are a few ways that you can stay ahead of the curve:

• Follow the company on Facebook.

• Follow the company on Twitter.

• Sign up for the company newsletter.

• Check the website homepage or product pages.

• Check the Drivers & Updates page for recent additions.

Until information exists in one or all of these places, there will not be any official announcements or discussions about future releases here on the community forum.

With all of that being said, we appreciate your interest in our company and will continue to strive to improve on our products and customer experience. As always, I am happy to continue forwarding all interest, reviews and new ideas over to our team for consideration :)

Hi Nick, what is actually going on with Akai product development and listening to their customers. Do they want to listen?? Or are they just not interested. Honest answer please.

I’ve been a customer more than two years now and I have never experienced this kind of customer feedback service. I’m used to companies like Elektron, TE and such and it seems that they realize that their customers are what makes them tick. Without them they have no reason to exist. With Akai its like they just don’t care. We only get to see people that have no influence. Just marketing faces. It’s really a terrible experience.

Yeah, I had no idea this wasn't implemented when I bought one. You kinda take that sort of feature for granted.

I just have to say, the mpc live is so much more useful now. I've made a couple template projects to use in standalone mode. With standard effects for each track all mapped to midi, plus mixer etc, this makes the live really deserving of its name. Well done akai.

Hi, did you set these up via the standalone unit only ..or via the MPC software?

In standalone. I use the mpc exclusively in standalone.

Two years since the start of this thread. No response, no external midi implementation. Oh boy... talking about listening to your customers.
