Ethernet connection MPC x Ableton

Has anyone connected ableton and mpc via ethernet cable connection?

Does it work on a Type C USB port (Windows 10)?

The update video on youtube makes it unclear which cable to use.

It is not well explained if it is Thunderbolt 3.0 X USB or Thunderbolt 2.0 X USB.

I can control via wifi, but sometimes the mpc screen crashes.

The music doesn't stop, but it can disturb the performance.

Hey Clécio Rimas,

Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble. The adapter or combination of adapters that you use will depend on the available ports on your computer. For instance, if your PC has an Ethernet port, you'll need a USB A to Ethernet adapter and an Ethernet cable to connect to your computer. If your computer has a thunderbolt port, then you would need a USB A to Ethernet adapter, Ethernet cable, and Ethernet to thunderbolt adapter.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

On the Youtube video it looks like he's using a USB - Thunderbolt cable to create the Ethernet connection...

I got the ethernet connected to the Mac (actually says connected), but still says waiting to connect to Live? Got Ableton running and usb, midi cables, and wifi connected and still nothing. Some support documentation for this would be amazing if y'all can get around to it. Thanks for all your hard work! =]

So literally nobody has a clue about this Ableton/Ethernet thing? It would seem as if whoever made the video on Youtube showing it in action (and not how to set it up) is the only person on earth who has gotten it up and running. Tried again, and for some reason when I connect the ethernet the wifi disconnects, and vice versa. I'm definitely tired of wasting time on this, that's for sure =P

I have the same problem, but I can't find the "MPC Live" name listed in the "MIDI SURFACE" list on Ableton 9.
