Akai force switch midi omni mode off

When using an akai force to sequence or even exist on a midi setup with external midi gear the selected track responds to midi messages from everything. Midi input to a track should be customizable with options for off, omni, channel # and ideally port# channel# (utilizing one or more multi port usb midi controllers plugged into a host usb port)

Please consider the bit about multiport usb controllers as a feature request. I have two IConnectivity Mio10s that I would like to be able to connect to my force via USB and use the individual ports, really it should work for any USB MIDI devices that correctly implement the standard.

Thanks for posting!

At this point in time, the Force can only receive MIDI on the Omni channel. There has been a lot of interest from the community to implement multitimbral MIDI. Be sure to submit this as a feature request with the MPC 2 Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!
